Welcome to this lovely Hogwarts Rpg site. I know there are many places to explore within this site, but first there are a few things you may wish to know. After all, you wouldn’t want to get lost in the Forbidden Forest during the night time now would you? There are a few things that must be done before you are allowed to be able to start your adventure here. But first things first, let me talk you what’s happening on the site as of now.
As you well know, or shall now know that this site is taking place during the Marauders Years (1970s). He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named is now out in the open, at full power and his faithful Death Eaters ‘playing’ with Muggles and Muggle-borns and everyone is living in fear. There are also rumors of other creatures siding with him as well as other hunters out in the chaos hunting others for their own personal gain. New worlds have been discovered which also means new friends, new enemies, and everything in between. Perhaps, new love for some of us? No one is safe, just about everyone seems to be on the run from something these days.
Now, let me take you in depth of what to do and what’s going on here, on this lovely site of ours.
I know there are many places to explore within this site, but first there are a few things you may wish to know. After all, you wouldn’t want to get lost in the Forbidden Forest during the night time now would you? There are a few things that must be done before you are allowed to start your adventure here.
First things first, you already have a character but you must decide whether or not you wish to be a Hogwarts Student, a Student from another school of Witchcraft and Wizardry or creature type (vampire, demonic, etc,) a Professor, an Adult, and a Creature of some kind or to belong to any other group.
To become a student, you must be sorted. Yes, we do have a sorting hat here, it’s old and cranky but finding another one is hard to do. To be sorted, you must go into the Character Introduction, Rules, and Registration area. From there go to Registration, you will see a list of groups for joining OotP (Order of the Phoenix), a contest (which will be explained later on), students (the Sorting Hat), teacher, someone with powers, an animagus, a Guardian (one of the special creatures only on this site), and to join Quidditch. Each area will ask you certain questions pertaining to that grouping and will also have certain rules that must be followed. Follow each the instructions of the chose group, if you chose student then you may join the Quidditch team. (of course you must wait for approval and where you are sorted by the staff)
Once you have registered and sorted, go back to Character Introduction, Rules, and Registration area. From here go to Characters Introductions, once again you will see the sign up for OotP , the contest, and Creatures and Adults Intro Templates (unless you have chosen this then skip the student part and go straight to this and follow the directions), skip over them and go to Student Into Template and yet again follow what is written. I know that its all of filling and waiting for the staff to get back you, but its worth it. Think of all the chaos you could…I mean fun you’ll be having once you get to done and done right.
When that is done, you need to go back yet again to Character Introduction, Rules, and Registration area, again. But now, you’ll go to The Rules Are Here place. There just go to the Have you developed a Mary-Sue/Gary-Stu? and One Liners rules. You will really need to pay attention to these rules, especially if you are a noob to rpg. A lot of people dislike those that break those two mostly because it dumbs down the thread, which no one wants.
Now we shall move to Open Cannon Characters.
Open Cannon Characters where you will fine Open Characters. This is where one could go and chose a character to play from the book when one can’t think of and/or wants to play that character. Once again you must ask to be approved to play the character and will mostly likely be told to register and do a character introduction (see above for more information or send an pm (personal message) to the owner or a staff member).

The History of the Founders of Hogwarts
"You all know, of course, that Hogwarts was founded over a thousand years ago - the precise date is uncertain - by the four greatest witches and wizards of the age. They built this castle together, far from prying Muggle eyes, for it was an age when magic was feared by common people, and witches and wizards suffered much persecution." -- Professor Binns
Over a thousand years ago, the four greatest witches and wizards of the age shared a dream, to create a school where young people of the wizarding world could study and be trained in the magical arts they needed to become skilled, fully-trained wizards. These four great wizards each founded one of the Houses of the school that they worked together to form: Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. They have been referred to as The Hogwarts Four.
For a number of years, this arrangement worked just fine. Each of the founders took a group of students to be in their own house and even though they had differences of opinion about who should be trained, the house system helped them all to work together. However, as the years went by, the differences between Gryffindor and Slytherin became a serious rift.
The Founders
Godric Gryffindor
Godric Gryffindor believed that anyone who showed magical ability should be allowed to attend Hogwarts. The Sorting Hat originally belonged to Gryffindor. His sword, with rubies in the handle, has also survived and is in the possession of Dumbledore. According to the Sorting Hat, Gryffindor came "from wild moor". (See below for more info.)It is possible that the village of Godric's Hollow is named after Godric Gryffindor.
Helga Hufflepuff
According to the Sorting Hat, Hufflepuff came "from valley broad." (See below for more info.)Her Famous Wizard card states that "(s)he brought people from different walks of life together to help build Hogwarts and was loved for her charming ways."
Rowena Ravenclaw
According to the Sorting Hat, Ravenclaw came "from glen." (See below for more info.) Her Famous Wizard card tells us that "(i)t's thought that she came up with the ever-changing floor plan. She's best remembered for her intelligence and creativity." Rowena was dear friends with Helga Hufflepuff. She is said to have stated: "We will teach those whose intelligence is surest."
Salazar Slytherin
Salazar Slytherin believed that only pure-blood witches and wizards should be allowed to attend Hogwarts. He got into an argument with Godric Gryffindor about this and eventually left the school. There was a legend that Slytherin built a secret chamber somewhere in Hogwarts that only his true heir would be able to open. This chamber, called the Chamber of Secrets, contained a monster that would finish his "noble purpose" of killing all the Muggle-born students at Hogwarts. As Slytherin's heir, Tom Riddle did open the Chamber and released the monster, a basilisk. Harry Potter defeated the basilisk with the help of Fawkes the phoenix and the sword of Gryffindor. Slytherin was a Parselmouth. There is some evidence that Slytherin was unusual looking. The statue of Slytherin was described as being "ancient and monkey-like." Harry Potter has many qualities Salazar Slytherin prized in his hand-picked students: Parselmouth -- resourcefulness -- determination -- a certain disregard for rules. According to the Sorting Hat, Slytherin came from the fen.

Publications is where news about the site is found as well as, news about the characters from the website in ‘The Daily Prophet’. Yes, the site also has ‘The Daily Prophet’. If you wish to join you can find information on how to join the lovely staff on ‘The Daily Prophet’. Also in Publications, you can find updates and messages from the owner and the Rpg staff that run the website.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Now We Move onto House Points. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Do a homework assignment that’s 100 points right there, if you write a story and place it in the fan fiction, that’s 300 points. If you take part in contests, house points are listed there, if you donate images and new affiliate images, that’s 20 points each for house and icons, and 50 for affiliate images. If you make student of the month its 400 points for your house, If you find a error that you can't live with and must be fixed 10 points for your house, if You give ideas and suggestions to fix the site that’s 50 for ever one that is good and 100 for those that are used. If you become a active member of a club or group such as a reporter, you will get 100 points. Only, if you are active. If you give fully written stories for the Daily Prophet it is 300 points for your house.

We have a contest that is called ‘Fan-Fiction Away’ which barely anyone has taken part in!
The ‘Fan-Fiction Away’ contest is very simple. First, it evolves you and your imagination!(I know, it hurts to think. But try.) It’s very easy to do and an easy way for your house to earn house points!
Here’s What You Need to Do:
Write and Fan Fiction and post it in fanfiction
Make sure its original, if not say it isn’t and give the name of the writer and a link to where you found it.
It’s Story! Remember?
Rules? There are no rules. (Writing has no guidelines or rules!)

Book Club
Each club/team has something different about them. Like the Slytherin’s Angels, they are all about how Slytherin is the best and how every other house sucks and what they could do to make the other Houses lives miserable. The Prankers In Training is about giving knowledge to younger generations about the fine art of pranking your peers and anyone else you could get away with. Ravenclaw's Chess Team is a team where you can use that wise brain of yours against other intelligent people such like yourself in a classic game of Wizard’s Chess. Also, Hufflepuff's Arts where you can fine a place among others who enjoy finer things such as painting and drawing to do in your spar time. Please remember, that you are only allowed to join clubs/teams that are offered in your House only, ask the club or team leader to join (that is if there is one, if not talk to Piper, maybe you’ll be the leader of that club/team). If you would like to make a club and or team you may but you must inform Piper about it. Not only will you have to make a club, if you wish to make one, but you’d need a leader. If there isn’t one, pm/owl Piper or one of the staff members.
Also, things that we need for the site that you could do and could get you house points for it:
The need for a new witch or wizard of the month,
Win contests that are and will be put up in the future.
Find mistakes in the site and owl(pm) Piper about them and you’ll get points and other things which you can ask about
Now I’m going to explain what and how to work some things since not all of us know what they are and what they do.
The whisper button: (I, myself, didn’t know how to work this or what it did before but now I do!)
The whisper button is a new feature here on the site, it allows you to put the name of a person in the box and say something to them knowing no one but you two will see it! How nice, huh? You can keep things in secret with out having to go through the trouble of owl post (a.k.a. pms).
The spoiler button:
The spoiler button is there for those of you who wish to do something rated R in a PG rated thread. (I should use this button.)
The theater:
If you love a song or you see something you like on youtube send Piper a request for it and as long as it’s tasteful then it’ll appear in the theater area. Just like magic!
Quidditch:
Yes, we finally have Quidditch. If you click in the area, you’ll find the rules and warning for it. Yeah, I said warnings I mean it too. If you are interested in this, than I strongly suggest to look at them first!

These are all places for you to explore and enjoy yourselves in. So, I won’t be telling you about these areas, I’ll leave them as a surprise for you to learn. Remember your house is like your family, so only our family can enter you house. Don’t go into other’s without permission. There are also realms which I didn’t name here but that’s because they have a habit of being there then next being there, I guess it depends on Piper’s and Flamez’s mood. The realms are where special creatures/people (like the Guardians, etc.) live, again do not make a thread there unless you have permission. I’ll put up more information about them when they are up on the site.
